Jason Bowdach, C.S.I. is a Dolby Vision certified film colorist and finishing artist based in Los Angeles, working with productions locally and remotely worldwide. He has been grading professionally since 2014, and his work lives at the meeting point of color science and storytelling: technically rigorous, but always in service of how an image makes an audience feel.
His color and finishing work spans studio and independent productions. He's built in-house color and finishing workflows for Netflix's behind-the-scenes and promotional content teams. For Fox, he designed and implemented a custom DaVinci Resolve pipeline, then trained their team to run it across broadcast, streaming, and social. Earlier, he found his footing in high-end feature finishing at FotoKem, alongside senior colorist Walter Volpatto. Beyond these engagements, he's collaborated with Disney, Amazon, Adobe, and Google, and with independent filmmakers whose projects are bound for festivals like Sundance and Tribeca.
Beyond the suite, Jason is an active voice in the post-production community. He sits on the board of the Colorist Society International's Hollywood chapter, is a certified trainer at Mixing Light, a published author on the Frame.io blog, and a speaker at NAB and SIGGRAPH. He hosts the Color & Coffee podcast and, through PixelTools, builds color tools and training downloaded more than 30,000 times by post-production professionals worldwide.
